Youth Leadership Conference 2015

Please complete this short survey to share your ideas for a summer Youth Leadership Conference sponsored by the Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy and the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria. Your opinion is important and will make it a great experience for you and your peers. Thank you!

1. The conference will take place over three consecutive days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please select the set of dates that you are available to participate in the Youth Leadership Conference. *This question is required.

2. The conference will feature exciting workshops, interesting guest speakers and opportunities to put your leadership skills into action. Please select the four focus areas that interest you the most. *This question is required.

Being Part of a Team - Discover the value of being part of a team and being a team player.
Public Speaking and Messaging - Build your confidence in public-speaking and learn everything from how to create a 30-second elevator speech to how to give an engaging media interview.
Resume Writing - Create a solid resume that you can use immediately
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - Learn how to think through your problems in a logical manner and arrive at good solution
Writing for Social Media - Learn how to write engaging posts for different audiences in facebook, twitter, and/or a blog.
Be a Community Change Maker - Learn how to work with Boards, Commissions, Nonprofits and other community groups to make a difference in your community.
Conflict Resolution - Develop key skills for resolving conflicts and arguments in one-on-one situations and group settings.
Budgeting and Money Management - Learn how to handle your finances now and for your future
Professionalism and Networking - Learn how to present your best self and make important connections
